Thanks for posting on the forum.

The relationship between part and class is very intimate, so it is not possible to change the class.

However, you can still use the part as a reference at least, which should make it easier for you to create the part in SkyCAD.
You can even copy/paste the layout (panel layout view) from that part to your new part.
