What if we've designed a component in-house? e.g. a custom circuit board. Obviously we want to represent it as a component in SkyCAD with a representative symbol, a component with our internal part number as "Part number", our company name as "Manufacturer", etc. But it doesn't make sense to have it exported to the online catalogue. It's proprietary to our company and nobody else can buy it.
Is there a way of flagging a symbol/component such that it won't be uploaded and shared automatically?
There is no way to ‘flag’ a component so that it won’t upload to the online catalogue. The best solution for users in that situation is to deactivate their approval of the Terms and Condition after approving it prior to downloading a part.
- Reach your SkyCAD account user profile page - Click the ‘Community catalogue license’ link at the bottom. - Uncheck the ‘You agree’ box and click ‘Save’
From that point on, no parts you save will get uploaded to the online catalogue. But the next time you will want to download a part, you’ll get prompt to agree again, thus will need to deactivate your approval again once the part you need will be downloaded.
