Multiple names to 1 manufacturer
Hi I'm spending a day going through tutorials as we have chosen skycad for our electrical drawings. I noticed when looking at adding equipment to the Parts list that the online parts calalogue sometimes has the same company writen different ways eg
Phoenix, Phoenix contact, phoenix contacts etc etc I think phoenix has about 5 or 6 so searching for a product would result in having to look through multiple headings. could someone clean up and regroup all companys together if they have multiple. perhaps a list of "names we should use" for when new items are created would be good eg use Omron not omron or OMRON
just a thought finding things slowly sinking in the videos are a very good idea

Thank you for posting on the forum,
We're glad to hear you've chosen SkyCAD for your electrical drawings; it sounds like you're really diving into the tutorials, which is fantastic, combined with hands-on experience using SkyCAD, is the best way to get the most out of it.
You bring up an excellent point regarding the naming conventions in our parts catalog. Streamlining company names for consistency is a great idea, and we’ll certainly take your suggestion into consideration.

I third that, with suggestions for cleaning up
Suggestions:
1) Have the program detect manufacturer, and preformat it to an internal list to automatically maintain conformity and prevent this in the future.
2) Group productsinto their respective product lines
e.g. AutomationDirect

|-> Productivity 1000
|-> Productivity200
|-> etc.
